This beautiful ivory satin

emphasizes the waistline and a bow decorates the neckline of the matching bolero
jacket.

An ivory coloured

at sides, like the hem. The sleeves are all lace as is the lower back hem. The
riding hat has a cathedral length veil attached as well as feathers and a little
beading. The tulle is gathered into a pouf at the back of the hat's crown. The
outfit is completed with a lace parasol, see below.

A delightful vision from Party
Time, this off-white matte satin full length gown with attached train
has a separate crinoline, seen below right. Gently gathered sleeve caps flow into
narrow cuffs at wrists. The bodice is overlayed by beaded and sequinned lace which
forms a scalloped sweetheart neckline. This scalloping is mirrored all around the
hemline of the cathedral length train, see below left. Beaded flowers and sprays
of pearls on a comb complete the headpiece, below right.
Size 8-10:
$150.
Parasols and riding hats are the ideal
accessories for the Queen Anne style gown. Two parasol types are shown at right:
sateen cloth, edged with lace or all lace.
Sateen parasol: $40.
Lace parasol:$20.
Another mid-eighties Queen Anne style
gown. The skirt and sleeves are lightweight ivory challis (100% wool). The bodice
is overlaid with rice-bead guipure lace (see detail below), also used on the bottom
half of the sleeves and along the train's hem. The empire waistline is outlined
with satin ribbon and the back closes with 24 self-fabric covered buttons. The
riding hat is decorated with the lace, netting and feathers.
