2 DRESSES AND AN OPERA COAT FROM THE 50s.
The navy blue dress on far left is a daywear frock, buttoning at the front with a lace "dicky" and wide collar. Size 10: $100.
The black dress with a satin belt is also from the late 50s, with a left-side zipper and gathered bodice. Size 6: $100.
Far right is a black velvet Opera Coat with a sterling silver clasp, white satin lining adn 3/4 length sleeves, from the early 50s. Size 8: $150.

RIGHT:A well-designed jacket from the late 40s, made in Ottawa. It features double flaps on the pockets and pointed cuffs. Navy blue, today's size 8: $125.

LEFT: A typical evening gown from the 40s. Violet satin. The skirt's side panels are lined with buckram to give it extra body.
Today's size 14: $150.

This Liz Claiborne dress from the early 80s has a back zipper and a sweetheart neckline. Size 10: $100.
The designer's label: A.Worth.

This lounging gown from Victorian 1900s is a true work of art! It is calf-length with full-length, wide sleeves. It's outer shell is made of black 100% silk charmeuse and the lining is 100% white silk . The inner front edges of the coat are entirely lined with flounces of Chantilly lace as are the sleeves. The shoulders, collar, armhole seams, cuffs and lower hem of this exquisite jacket are lavishly over-embroidered in a peacock tail design, black on black. Long, 8 and 10 inch tassels hang from the armholes and back and front collar tips. $500.

LEFT: This interesting dressing gown from the late 30s is made from creme coloured organza trimmed with white satin ribbon and bows. The inside skirt is completely lined with 13 rows of gathered tulle: $175. It is shown here over a gold brocade sheath gown from the 60s. The picture above right shows the brocade's bird and floral pattern: $100. Both items size 6.
Left: A long mauve textured matte satin gown from the 60s is heavily beaded around the neckline. It also sports 4 self-covered buttons on the left side and a long matching stole (not shown) completes the outfit. Size 10: $100.

Above left: This delicately beaded, plum velvet bodice and satin sheath full length dress, features 3 beaded satin "frogs", attached gauntlet sleeves, back zipper and a left-side slit.

TWO MEN'S Morning Suits from the 50s.

The suit in top row has a cropped, double-breasted front and tapered tails, with satin lapels and slanted hankie pocket. The matching waistcoat is single buttoned, with two slanted pockets. Size 40 chest: $100, for both pieces.

The bottom set of photographs details a 100% wool, single button tapered jacket. The matching waistcoat has lapels and 5 self-covered buttons. Jacket and waistcoat: size 42 chest: $100. The formal pinstripe pants have side pockets; waist 34: $50.
