Celtic and Highland dancewear take many forms, from the traditional Scottish dress (below far left) or Kilt with Vest or Jacket (above right), to the various traditional Irish kits (Black Skirts top centre, Green velvet Jumper, far right). The modern Celtic styles are shown far left in ornate design or less intricate below centre.
Ballroom dancing requires lightweight and supple clothing. Some gowns are full-length, others are quite revealing!
Western Dancing (also known as Folk Dancing or Square Dancing) sports fully crinolined skirts, which can be long or short.
The detailing is what makes an outfit unique and fun to create and wear. Beading, coining, embroidery, sequins or applique are techniques Roxane uses frequently.
